Features We Love

For 2025, there really aren’t major changes, which honestly tells you they got a lot right with the 2024 update. You’re still getting the same engine options and overall design, but there are a few small tweaks—like the plug-in hybrid being available on more trims and some features being shuffled around depending on the model.

A couple things to note: some of the extras you might expect, like the towing pack or tailgate seating, aren’t available on certain hybrid trims anymore, so it’s just worth double-checking what matters most for your lifestyle before choosing your configuration.

  • Two LATCH positions outboard: lower anchors are in both side seats, so installs are straightforward
  • Tether anchors across all three second-row seats: you can run a forward-facing seat anywhere
  • Two car seats fit comfortably side by side: no fighting for space between seats
  • Third row is actually usable: long-wheelbase models give you real space for kids or occasional adults
  • Third row access works with car seats installed: second row can tip forward without fully uninstalling everything
  • Ceiling vents for rear-facing kids: airflow actually reaches them
  • New infotainment system is easier to use: fewer taps when you’re multitasking as a parent

The Exterior

Classic Range Rover Styling That Still Turns Heads

This is still one of those cars you instantly recognize. It hasn’t changed dramatically, but the newer versions feel cleaner and a little more elevated.

  • Boxy, upright shape: classic Range Rover presence
  • Smooth front end with a large grille: clean and not overly aggressive
  • Blacked-out trim and roof options: adds contrast and a sportier feel
  • Doors are huge: makes getting kids in and out so much easier
  • Flush exterior details in newer models: everything looks more streamlined

So overall, I like the way it looks and it definitely leans more premium, but the proportions—especially that long hood—might not be for everyone.

First Row

First Row Feels More Intuitive While Keeping That Luxury Feel

Screens and controls are easier to live with now:

  • Dual-screen setup: top for media, bottom for climate and seats
  • Updated infotainment system: faster, fewer taps to get where you need
  • Heads-up display + digital dash: keeps everything in your line of sight

Comfort is still a big focus here:

  • Massaging seats and heated steering wheel: noticeable on longer drives
  • Panoramic roof: makes the cabin feel more open

Storage is functional but not perfect:

  • Cupholders and phone storage are easy to reach
  • Center console is smaller because of the cool box

It still takes a minute to learn, but once you’re used to it, it’s a really nice place to be.

Second Row

Second Row Still Does the Heavy Lifting for Car Seats

This is still the most important row for most families, and it continues to do its job really well.

Car seat setup is straightforward and flexible:

  • Lower anchors in both outboard seats: easy LATCH installs
  • Top tether anchors across all three seats: gives you flexibility

Two-car-seat families will feel comfortable here:

  • Side-by-side installs work well: no awkward overlap
  • Middle seat is usable when needed: tight, but doable

Everyday usability is strong:

  • Rear-facing behind a tall driver works: just a little tighter
  • Ceiling vents help keep kids comfortable

Now works better with the third row:

  • Seat can tip forward with some installs still in place: makes access much easier

Third Row

Third Row Is a Real Option Now, Not Just a Backup Seat

This is where the newer models really change things.

You finally get a usable third row:

  • Only on long-wheelbase models
  • Enough legroom for older kids and occasional adults

It doesn’t feel like an afterthought:

  • Vents, USB ports, and added comfort features

Access is easier than expected:

  • Second row movement helps even with car seats installed

It’s not something I’d use every day, but it makes this car a lot more versatile.

Trunk

More Cargo Space and Flexibility Make This Easier for Family Life

This is another area where the newer models improve things in a noticeable way.

Cargo space is more competitive now:

  • 40+ cubic feet behind the second row
  • 90+ cubic feet with seats folded

Three-row setup adds flexibility:

  • Usable space behind the third row and more when folded

Still very easy to use day to day:

  • Fits a stroller and groceries without overthinking it
  • Wide opening and flat floor make loading simple
  • Power-folding seats make switching setups easy

It still feels practical first, just with more flexibility built in.

Safety

Safety Features Cover the Basics and Then Some

This is one of those cars where you’re getting all the safety tech you’d expect in a luxury SUV. Nothing feels missing, and it all works in the background without being distracting.

  • Forward collision warning + emergency braking: standard features you want, especially for stop-and-go driving
  • Blind spot monitoring: helpful for a car this size where visibility can be tricky
  • Adaptive cruise control: makes longer drives a lot easier
  • Heads-up display: keeps your speed and alerts in your line of sight instead of looking down

Pretensioners Are Where You Want Them for a Family Setup

This is something I always pay attention to, especially with kids in the car.

  • Front seats have seat belt pretensioners: helps tighten the belt instantly in a crash
  • Outboard rear seats also have pretensioners: important if you’re installing car seats on either side

Overall, it has the safety features you expect, and the placement of things like pretensioners supports how families are actually using the car day to day.

Car Seat Setup

Car Seat Setup Still Works Really Well, Just More Flexible Now

This is still a really solid setup for families, and the core of it hasn’t changed, which is a good thing. It’s easy to use, works well for two kids, and now with the newer models, you have more flexibility if you need that third row.

Second row setup is simple and reliable:

  • Lower anchors in both outboard seats: easy LATCH installs without fighting for space
  • Top tether anchors across all three seats: gives you flexibility for forward-facing installs

Two car seats fit without overthinking it:

  • Forward- and rear-facing seats work side by side: no overlap issues
  • Middle seat is usable if needed: tight, but I can climb in between seats when I need to help a kid

Rear-facing setup works for taller drivers:

  • Fits behind a taller driver: just not a ton of extra space if you’re over six feet

Third row adds flexibility without breaking your setup:

  • Second row can tip forward with some seats installed: makes accessing the third row much easier
  • You can spread kids across rows now: instead of everything happening in one place

Overall, this still feels like a really strong two-car-seat setup, but now it grows with you a little better if you end up needing that third row.

We could not love this vehicle more. This is a true luxury experience as a driver and passenger. We are able to fit 3 across with very slim car seats and boosters. The trunk space is enormous. I will be sad when we outgrow this vehicle as our kids grow! Definitely one of the more expensive options out there but you can fit 3 young kids in the backseat!
