Features We Love

For 2026, the Enclave doesn’t get a full overhaul, but it does get a few meaningful upgrades. The biggest one is that the Trailering Package is now standard on every trim, which means you’re getting the heavy-duty cooling system, hitch, and trailer guidance features without having to upgrade. I also love that AWD remains available across all trims, so you don’t have to jump to a higher model just to get extra traction. Add in the standard key card and available cargo security shade, and these updates feel practical, modern, and genuinely useful for families.

  • 30-inch curved display. It is stunning. It feels high-end, super modern, and way more luxury than you expect at this price point.
  • Super Cruise available on all trims. Hands-free driving on compatible highways? Yes please. For long road trips or busy commuting, that’s a big win.
  • Family-ready car seat setup. LATCH in both second-row seats, tether anchors in all seating positions, and easy access for installs. No third-row lower anchors, but you do get tethers back there.
  • Continuous Damping Control on Avenir. The ride is noticeably smoother and more refined. It feels controlled, not floaty.
  • Seven standard camera views (up to nine available). Front, rear, surround — visibility is excellent. In a three-row SUV, that matters.
  • Floating center console with real storage. I love an open “bridge” design. Great place for a purse, snacks, or just life.
  • Ventilated + massaging front seats (Avenir). That’s real luxury energy.
  • Standard Blind Zone Steering Assist & Intersection AEB. The added safety tech for 2025 is meaningful, not just marketing fluff.
  • QuietTuning cabin. Buick still does this so well. It feels calm inside
Car Mom Review

The Exterior

The 2025 Enclave got a full redesign, and you can tell immediately. Buick completely wiped the slate clean and leaned into a sharper, more modern look. This doesn’t feel like the Enclave of a few years ago — it feels elevated.

Up front, you’ve got the new grille design, updated badging on the hood, and those signature checkmark-style LED headlights. The stance is wider and more confident, and the proportions feel more balanced overall. It looks substantial without looking bulky.

The Avenir trim especially looks stunning. The chrome detailing against lighter exterior colors gives it that monochromatic, luxury feel. It honestly reminds me of the Lexus TX — but a little fresher.

From the side profile, it’s long and clean. The 20-inch wheels on Preferred and Sport Touring look great, and the 22-inch wheels on Avenir really finish it off. The blacked-out trim elements keep it from feeling dated.

Around back, the cross-car LED taillamps give it a polished, high-end look.

First Row

The first row of the 2025 Enclave feels like Buick really leaned into the luxury side of things. It’s modern, it’s elevated, and it honestly feels like a step above what we’ve seen from Buick in the past.

Right away, the 30-inch curved display grabs your attention. It’s wide, clean, and feels very high-end. It gives Lexus TX energy, but honestly even a little fresher.

Here’s what stands out up front:

  • 30-inch ultrawide curved display that feels truly premium
  • Available Super Cruise for hands-free highway driving
  • Floating center console with open “bridge” storage
  • Wireless charging + multiple cupholders
  • Ventilated, heated, and massaging front seats (Avenir)
  • Head-Up Display available
  • Panoramic sunroof

The floating center console is one of my favorite details. That open space underneath is actually usable. Purse, snacks, diaper bag, you name it.

Seat comfort is great. The ride feels refined, especially on the Avenir with Continuous Damping Control. It’s noticeably smoother than the previous generation.

Now, if I’m being honest, the light interior is stunning but not exactly kid-friendly. The white leather with white seat belts looks gorgeous… but I would personally choose black. With four kids, that white interior would stress me out.

Overall, though, this first row feels upscale in a way Buick hasn’t quite nailed before. It’s modern without feeling overwhelming, and it still keeps practical storage where you need it.

Second Row

First, the space. The second row in the new Enclave is generous. This feels noticeably larger than an MDX or QX60. Knee clearance is excellent, head clearance is strong, and the aisle between the captain’s chairs is wider than most in the midsize class.

Now let’s talk car seats.

You get:

  • Lower anchors in both second-row captain’s chairs
  • Tether anchors in all seating positions
  • Car seat tilt on the passenger side for third-row access

From a CPST perspective, that’s a solid foundation.

The lower anchors are easy to access, and installs in the second row are straightforward. Rear-facing seats fit well because of the overall cabin depth. Forward-facing installs are flexible thanks to the tether anchors being available in every position.

The passenger-side car seat tilt is a big win. You can tilt and slide the seat forward for third-row access, even with certain car seats installed. That makes everyday usability much easier when you’re juggling kids.

Now, here’s where I get a little disappointed.

There are no lower anchors in the third row. That means no LATCH installs back there and no booster seat stabilization using lower anchors. You can absolutely install with the seat belt, but I prefer having the flexibility.

Also, Buick only offers captain’s chairs — there’s no bench option. For some families that’s fine, but if you’re trying to maximize seating or do three-across scenarios, that limitation matters.

Other notes:

  • Heated second-row seats (Avenir)
  • Ceiling vents (non-negotiable)
  • USB-C ports and climate controls
  • No sunshades, which feels like an easy miss

Overall, the second row is strong for car seats. The hardware is solid, the space is generous, and third-row access is practical. I just wish GM would stop skipping lower anchors in the third row — especially at this price point.

Third Row

The third row in the 2025 Enclave is better than most midsize SUVs, but it’s not pretending to be a full-size Yukon or a minivan. It’s solid. It’s usable. And for the right family setup, it works really well.

Space-wise, it’s respectable. If the second row is pushed all the way back, legroom gets tight — so you’ll need to slide it forward a bit. The good news is the second row has so much space that you can do that without sacrificing comfort up there.

Head clearance is good. The floorboard isn’t dramatically elevated, so you’re not in a full knees-to-chest position. That matters more than people think.

From a car seat perspective:

  • Three tether anchors across the third row
  • No lower anchors back here
  • Flexible buckles that help with installs
  • Decent middle seat width for a midsize SUV

The three tether anchors are great. That allows for forward-facing car seat installs across the row using the seat belt. I’ve installed forward-facing seats in this platform before and they fit well.

However — and this is important — there are no lower anchors in the third row. That limits LATCH flexibility and booster stabilization. At this price point, I do wish GM would include them.

Comfort-wise, you get:

  • Ceiling vents
  • Charging ports
  • Cup holders and small storage areas

It does feel a little more basic back here compared to the very luxe front row. The materials aren’t as exciting, and in this white interior especially, everything feels very exposed.

Overall, this is one of the stronger third rows in the midsize category. It works well for kids, forward-facing seats, and occasional adult passengers — but if you’re planning to load up three teens back there regularly, you may want to test it in person first.

LATCH in second row, tethers everywhere

Trunk

The trunk in the new Enclave is strong. This is one of the areas where the size of this vehicle really pays off.

Behind the third row, you get 22.9 cubic feet, which is competitive for the midsize class and absolutely usable for real life — think grocery runs, sports bags, backpacks, and a smaller stroller. It’s not minivan space, but it’s very solid.

Where it really shines is flexibility.

  • Power-folding third row (Avenir)
With the touch of a button, those seats drop flat. No wrestling, no manual pulling.
  • 57.1 cubic feet with third row folded
This gives you serious cargo depth for Costco runs or travel days.
  • 97.5 cubic feet max cargo space
That’s strong for a midsize SUV and gets you close to full-size functionality without the full-size footprint.
  • Deep underfloor storage
I love this. It’s perfect for a travel potty, extra diapers, towels, emergency kit — all the things you don’t want rolling around.
  • Hands-free power liftgate
Essential when you’ve got a baby on your hip and snacks in the other hand.

Now, if I’m being picky, I’d love a slightly more pronounced handle on the liftgate button — it’s subtle. And in this white interior, everything feels very exposed. It’s beautiful, but I’d personally opt for black if this were my daily driver.

Safety

The 2025 Enclave steps up in a big way when it comes to safety. This isn’t just the standard lane-keep-and-call-it-a-day package. Buick added meaningful upgrades this year, and at this price point, that matters.

Here’s what stands out:

  • Super Cruise available on all trims. True hands-free highway driving on compatible roads. For long road trips or heavy commuting, that’s a huge upgrade.
  • Blind Zone Steering Assist
  • Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking. That’s a big one. It can help detect and respond to cross-traffic situations.
  • Traffic Sign Recognition
  • Lane Keep Assist with Departure Warning
  • Up to nine camera views available
  • Automatic Crash Response + OnStar coverage
