I love my 2025 Ford Explorer Active! Being a lower trim model, there are not as many techy features (like sunroof, seat position memory buttons, etc.), but we knew that going in, and it doesn't bother us! The remote start features on both the Ford app and the key fob are great, especially with the Texas heat. The screen is very large, and having Apple CarPlay is a game-changer after driving an older car for many years. With our first baby on the way, we opted for captain's seats to allow for easier access to the third row. We're enjoying this so far! The trunk is spacious with the third row up or down. We tend to use it down for more room for grocery bags, etc., just because we rarely need the third row right now. The car drives so smoothly and has great safety features like lane assist and adaptive cruise control. A "base model luxury" that I am loving is that the lights are automatic, so I've never had to adjust my lights! :) Overall, the 2025 Ford Explorer Active is a great base model with many features that still impress me after driving an older vehicle for many years. We love this car, and it will be perfect for our family for many years to come!

Purchased this car after how much Kelly and Lizz rave about it as well as the sister model - the Nissan Pathfinder. Test drove the Pathfinder first and felt it was a little small. Also have read lots of reviews about brake issues with the Pathfinder but I really loved all the features/design so I dug into the QX60. This car has not disappointed! My only complaint is it's a gas guzzler (V6/premium gasoline) so this has not been fun with rising gas prices. However, it's a beautiful "mom" car and so fun to drive. I had a Rav4 previously and this doesn't feel much bigger when driving it but definitely has roomier 2nd row, 3rd row, and lots of cargo space with 3rd row down. Had added under floor storage too in the cargo area which is great. Decent size for 2 kids + husband + dog who don't travel very much. We did go to the beach for a week about 2 hours away and it was definitely not big enough to pack for all 4 humans + dog + beach essentials. However, for day to day activities and occasional weekend excursions it's perfect. Has lots of good kid features - car seat tilt, bench seat, ceiling vents, sun shads, and lots of cup holders. I purchased a bench seat which has been great. Mostly drive with 3rd row down. 3rd row is a little cramped when up but doable for relatively short distances w/ adults. Would be perfectly fine for older kids/teens. The App is great and love the remote start feature. Base model comes with lots of bonus features heated and ventilated front seats. This is my first time purchasing Infiniti and would definitely consider purchasing again in the future. Kelly and Lizz's reviews for this car has been spot on! Trust the professionals! :)

Pros Kid logistics are smooth I have a 2, 5, and 7-year-old. Two year old is rear facing in the second row (bucket seats), 5 and 7 year olds are front facing in the third row. • Wide second row with wide aisle • Third-row access is easy via car seat tilt or aisle • Car seat anchors are plentiful and accessible • High ride height makes buckling easy Platinum comfort features • Heated/ventilated front seats • Soft-close doors feel luxe • Quiet cabin for long drives to rinks, gymnastics, and school Excellent winter handling New Jersey winters + hockey practices = icy parking lots. • 4WD modes are intuitive • Snow mode is genuinely helpful • Big, stable platform for bad weather SYNC 4 • Rear passengers can control climate • Wireless CarPlay Cons SYNC 4 I HATE the giant iPad screen and climate control. Super clunky. Fuel economy is rough Real-world: 14–17 mpg around NJ. Between hockey, school, errands, and work, I feel it. It’s big Parking at crowded rinks, school pickup lines, and tight NJ lots can be annoying. • Long wheelbase • Wide turning radius • I rely on cameras constantly 2022 model-year quirks Because of supply chain issues, I didn’t get massaging seats or hands-free trunk opening Third row and trunk are are good, not great Because I use the third row daily, my trunk space is limited. I *can* fit my UppaBaby Vista double stroller, but I have to put the actual stroller seats in the cabin. TLDR; I love it but wish I got the max.

We could not love this vehicle more. This is a true luxury experience as a driver and passenger. We are able to fit 3 across with very slim car seats and boosters. The trunk space is enormous. I will be sad when we outgrow this vehicle as our kids grow! Definitely one of the more expensive options out there but you can fit 3 young kids in the backseat!

Obsessed!! 2023 Nissan Pathfinder platinum. Has all the bells and whistles. Drives very nice- like a truck which I like. Very comfortable and spacious. Even the third row. I have the bench seat. I don’t think it could fit 3 across in the middle row but it’s perfect for 2. Car seat tilt is nice but we have to move the front seat all the way forward in order to use the tilt for my rear facing child. The tilt doesn’t work when using seatbelt install so my daughter’s seat, who is FF with seatbelt install, can’t use the car seat tilt. So keep this is mind based on your current and future car seat needs. It feels so luxurious and was more affordable than the Honda Pilot I was also looking at.

I drove this car for a few weeks while one of our vehicles was in the shop for hail damage. I absolutely loved it! I currently drive a 2012 Chevy Traverse so the tech probably would have seemed great no matter what, but that being said everything seemed user friendly and worked well. My husband drives a 2018 F150 and he really liked this car as well. The only thing we didn't like was the semi autonomous driving feature, both my husband and I just didn't feel like it worked great, a bit jerky and its hard to keep your hands on the steering wheel while its moving but if you take them off it alerts you to put them back on, we just turned off the feature. I liked the adaptive cruise control and lane assist, they both worked great! My kids loved the built in sunshades in the second row. We also took it out of town with 2 adults in the backseat and they both mentioned how nice of a car it was. I really loved the look of the exterior as well. I'm pretty set on a Honda Pilot for my next car because of the removable middle seat but another Traverse or a Pathfinder are definitely both on my list after driving this one!

I wanted a smaller car after driving a Wagoneer, but still needed to accommodate 3 kids in car seats/boosters. We started with 2 FF, 1 RF and now have 2 in boosters, 1 FF. We have the captains chairs in the second row which is super comfortable for my kids. We have done 2 kids in the 2nd row, 1 in 3rd as well as 2 in the 3rd, 1 in 2nd with the other captain’s chair folded down for car line drop off. Pros: great tech, easy to park, feels sporty and cool, can fit kids + backpacks or groceries in trunk. Can fit double BOB in trunk with one seat folded down. Car seats/boosters fit great in each seat, can fit 2 car seats in 3rd row. 4 tether anchors, super easy to find and install car seats safely. Cons: child in 3rd row is sometimes too hot/cold (no rear ceiling vents), I do wish it was a little bigger. No LATCH in 3rd row for booster but per our manual we can use without. Overall this car has served our family so well in this season! Full disclosure when my lease is up we plan to go back to a full size SUV. This is mostly due to my kids growing, and us wanting to be able to bring friends along with us to activities. However, this vehicle is definitely getting the job done and I could continue to drive it indefinitely.

Yes it's a minivan, so it's not your sexy mom car but it does SO much and it's extremely functional - so far that reason, we love our minivan. We have two kids ages 6&1, so they use their carseats/boosters in the second row. We've been able to put two car seats on the outer edges of the third row in the past. We live in Florida, so ceiling vents were nonnegotiable for me - so that plus the hybrid option made the Sienna the obvious choice. I'll never forget that we had a Palisade before this and we were in a parking spot where it was extremely difficult to get our son out of the car and my husband says "if we just had a mini van, these doors would slide open!!!" Now we've been in many situations like this and it's also so nice to know that the kids won't swing open the door and hit other cars. As far as reliability goes, let me tell you that we bought this 2 year old car with 124,000 miles (yes that previous owner drove a lot) but we knew that if we maintained it well, this Toyota would last us a long time. We've had it for almost 2 years now, added 20,000 miles and have only had to do oil changes. The gas mileage is fantastic, average about 32 MPG with mostly city driving (especially with the rising costs). The overall functionality you just can't beat. I'm sure it's lacking in tech features compared to the Carnival but again the longevity brand of Toyota beats that for us - I have issues with CarPlay connecting every so often but it's fine. One more thing to add, we do have the XSE trim and we wanted the nicer trim for leather and heated seats to add some more of those features to this rather "bland" car. All in all though, we love our Sienna and it gives us room to grow our family if the Lord allows it!

I bought the Odyssey for anything but looks and luxury, and its functionality serves me exceptionally well as a mom of 3 little kids. As a CPST, I've wrangled 3 car seats into a lot of different vehicles in which the setup was fine to passable, and the Odyssey is the opposite of that. We purchased right before baby #3, and when she was born we also had 3 and 4 year olds rear-facing. I ended up putting one in the 3rd row and pushing the two captain's chairs to one side with the magic slide and could pretty easily sit in the back on the seat next to the car seat to buckle. In the past two years we have progressed through combinations of rear-facing, forward-facing, and boosters, and I can put anyone pretty much anywhere, in any car seat. I can do 3 across when I want to fold down the back row, and we can easily transport a couple of additional adults or children if needed. I thank myself every time it's freezing, raining, or I'm in an undesirable parking location and I can get in and close the door behind me to get everyone buckled. I would have probably purchased this vehicle if I were only having 2 children, but I was never anti-minivan. Sliding doors are everything. Cons: I chose the lowest trim level because I specifically did not want leather seats. I'd really prefer if I had the power tailgate and probably a sunroof. Compared to other vehicles, the details and tech are sparse, but this was my first new car so it was impressive to me! While the trunk has a lot of space, deep versus long/wide could definitely be a consideration. You can only stack so many things on top of each other in a practical way, so I do find this to be limiting sometimes for things like a Costco trip or transporting a stroller. A seemingly minor but daily annoyance is that the beep when locking the car with the key fob is so quiet. If I'm walking away in a parking lot or inside the house, I often cannot hear the beep to confirm without pressing the button multiple times or moving closer.

Great car for a mom of 2 kids plus 2 medium-large breed dogs (they ride in 3rd row). Decent trunk space with 3rd row up for a couple bags. We did ask the dealership to add a tow hitch to put luggage rack on when we do road trips with the dogs and it works great!

My husband and I are 6+ feet tall and are able to have the seats all the way back and have rear facing car seats behind us comfortably (graco slim fit 3lx & Chicco keyfit30). I have the bench and am easily able to do 3 across. While I do wish the trunk space was a tad bigger, I utilize it in my day to day well. With the third row up and pushed forward, I am able to fit my double bob stroller. My 2 dogs (both 75 lbs+) fit comfortably in the 3rd row. When we go camping, we utilize a roof rack to carry all our necessities. We are able to tow well, too! On occasion I pick up nieces/nephews and all are able to fit - may not be the comfiest, but in a pinch everyone is in and safe. Wishes: car seat tilt, better trunk space with 3rd row back.

We LOVE our 2022 Palisade SEL. It has all the features I “needed” in a vehicle: bench seat, built in sun shades, ceiling vents, heated seats, Apple Car Play, adaptive cruise control, and AWD. It has a few extra features I didn’t think I would “need” in a vehicle but so happy to have: quiet mode, nature sounds, and extra compartment storage in the trunk. The second row bench seat fits our two large Chicco Fit360 rotating car seats very well. We typically don’t use our third row and it’s folded down 99% of the time. The only time we use it is when the car seats are not installed and we are only transporting adults. We have successfully fit 8 adults in it, but the third row is very tight with 3 adults back there. With the third row folded down, the trunk space is incredible and easily fits our double Bob stroller with room to spare. Overall, I would definitely recommend this vehicle to a family of 4!

I love my Telluride and drive it daily. I have the captains chairs and it works well for us. I have 2 kids, both RF and there is still plenty of room for the driver and front seat passenger in terms of leg room. There is a large infotainment system touch screen but also knobs for all the important stuff (volume, air, etc.) which I prefer! The blindspot cameras are elite — I don’t know if I’d ever buy another car without them! The second row has built in sun shades & ceiling vents. There is plenty of trunk space with the 3rd row up and laying the seats down is super easy. It’s super comfortable to drive and has what my husband calls “giddy-up!” Overall it’s a winner in my book.

I love our Honda Pilot EX-L. It works incredibly well for our family of 4. We have a bench seat in the middle and keep the third row down the majority of the time. The trunk space is great with this setup, especially with the extra under-floor storage area to tuck away backup diapers, outfits, etc. The third row isn't incredibly comfortable to me due to leg room, but it works well for us for the rare occasion that we need to use it. The second row is spacious and fits rear and forward facing carseats with plenty of room for my 6'3" husband in the front row. We use all of the door cubbies regularly, and really appreciate two cupholders back there. The latch for forward facing carseats is easy to access, too. There are no ceiling vents, but with separate rear controls we've had no issues with rear facing kiddos being too hot in the 100+ heat days. Plus, the built in sun shades are so helpful! The front row has everything we need. Heated seats, wireless apple CarPlay, physical climate control buttons with auto climate control, 4 cupholders (2 in center console and 1 in each door), lots of cubby space, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, parking sensors, easy to use screen - just to name a few of our favorite features. I saw a lot of concern regarding the Pilot screen size being smaller than most other SUVs, but we've never felt it was lacking or considered it too small. The only feature I'd love to have that wasn't available on the EX-L is the front parking camera. However, the front sensors work well, especially once we got accustomed to the distance we had left with each beep/indicator on the screen. Overall, we are extremely happy with our Pilot and how functional it has been for our family. We plan to drive it for many years to come!

I made the switch from a RAV4 to a Honda Odyssey EX-L after finding out I was adding twins alongside my now-3-year-old. I needed something that could handle three car seats with ease, and she delivers. The magic slide seats in the second row were my biggest selling point (I was originally between the Odyssey or Sienna), and they're worth their weight in GOLD. The flexibility of moving those seats around makes loading everyone in and out so much easier, especially when I'm flying solo. The spaciousness is another huge win. Even with the third row up, I can still fit our double stroller plus groceries in the trunk. I'm 5'10" and I can actually sit comfortably enough in the third row if I need to nurse a baby or 2 in a pinch. I'm so excited for my kiddos to get bigger so we can put the tailgate mode feature to use. Plus, I feel like I'm driving a larger vehicle without feeling like it's a boat. I mostly stick to Apple CarPlay, which I find relatively seamless, and aside from that I do appreciate the physical knobs and buttons and don't have any beef with their placement. A few drawbacks: I really wish the air vents were better distributed throughout the cabin. Boo, no side OR ceiling vents in the second row. At least the third row has side vents. I do have to use an expander just to fit my Owala in the cupholder. And while the wireless charger is a nice feature, the placement feels a bit awkward and not super intuitive. Overall though, the Odyssey is a practical second home for a mom! It’s not flashy or cute, but it has made my life significantly easier through many stages already!

When I say the Honda Odyssey is the ultimate mom car, I mean it. The Touring model is a perfect mixture of well-thought out family friendly features, enough technology to make sense and not frustrate users, while still being fun to drive with an engine that can make you forget you're in a minivan with 4 kids in the back. The most popular feature that caught my eye was the magic slide seats. They are every thing they're cracked up to be. It makes entry to the 3rd row a breeze and gives a nice place for backpacks and jackets to rest. Add in the option for the 8th seat in the second row with 3 across capabilities when needed making it perfect for carpooling, extra friends tagging along, or just for bigger families in general. Head rests and tether anchors on every seat and lower anchors on 5 of the seats is the cherry on top of a top notch family vehicle. Kids in sports? Tailgate mode is a dream for watching a game from the comfort of your van or a nice place to rest in between tournament games. CabinWatch and CabinTalk make keeping an eye on your kids a total breeze. No need to worry about turning around to check on them or shouting to be heard over noise..your voice travels clearly through the speakers or the headphones(if your passengers are enjoying the rear entertainment system). The rear entertainment system is worth its weight in gold on long road trips or when you just need a minute of peace and quiet. It's so easy to use with the built-in AT&T hotspot (unlimited data for $25/month)! I truly appreciate the great balance of the Odyssey's technology. It's modern while still having physical buttons for things like climate control. Sometimes simple really is better. My favorite feature? WIRELESS CARPLAY! I'm obsessed with the freedom of no cords..just get in & go. For anyone concerned about the lack of ceiling vents--it's never been a problem for me here NC's hot & humid summers! The Odyssey checks all the boxes (& then some!) for busy families.

There's a lot of hate for these minivans, but I personally love it. The stow & go is unmatched!! I have 4 children in car seats and love having the 8 seater model. It allows me to keep one captain chair stowed and use that space to climb in and buckle everyone, change diapers, picnic, change clothes, etc. The opposite side the stow & go cubby is perfect for storage and the best place to keep things so they don't become projectiles. There is plenty of space in the trunk. You can do 3 across with the correct seats in the 2nd row. I love the hands free trunk and door opening. The kick sensors work well. Safety tech is good but I think my husband's Ford has better sensitivity. This is the second Pacifica I have owned and I will say the Uconnect system on my 2020 was better than the FireTv upgrade that they have now. I would prefer if they would put the screen in the ceiling and do dvd/bluray only. I love the large screen in the front seat and actual buttons to control mostly everything. The FamCam is great also. It eliminated my need for mirrors for RF children. MPGs aren't anything special but sufficient. There are car seats that are compatible so don't let that hang you up from this car. Do I wish there were more tethers in the second row and LA? Yes. But you can make it work. I have had zero mechanical issues in 50k miles on this car. My previous Pacifica I traded at 75k and I only replaced both batteries and a hood sensor. Overall I can't speak to any poor reliability issues.

We LOVE this car! My husband was anti-mini van, we have a large age gap between our kids (13 yo, 12yo, 3yo, and now 1 yo). Prior to this car we had a Palisade, and we loved it with our 3 kids... but when baby #4 was born it was so tight. The older girls had trouble getting into the back seat or getting around at all in the car. We hated it. The Carnival has been such a breath of fresh air. We removed one outboard seat from the center row bench, now the older kids can easily access the back row, the younger two fit side by side in the other two middle row seats and we have an area to change diapers etc. In my opinion, the drive is fine, I like the drive of the Palisade better, but I don't not like the drive of the Carnival (I am not a car person either). My husband (who said he would never drive it if we got a mini van) drives it all the time (it is our main family car) and does not complain. I also love that there are 4 cupholders reachable from the front seat. Two in the front of the center console and two on the backside. As a mom who pretty much always has a water for myself and a coffee or other drink for myself, having the extra cupholders I can reach is great.

I really have enjoyed driving this car as a family of 4! We upgraded from a Ford Escape to the Explorer and opted for the captains chair set up to allow easier access with carseats to the third row. We often have the third row down to allow for our stroller and other gear to fit more easily, but find a lot of functionality with the third row up as well. We have loved how the explorer is a bigger vehicle without feeling huge at the same time. I've really been enjoying everything this 3 row mid sized SUV has to offer. I really like the tech and safety features included as well! My only disappointment was when I learned that the map integration is a subscription model that I'm not interested in paying for right now so I have to rely on my phone to connect with the car more than I probably would like.

As a mom of one, this car truly checks all the boxes for me. We typically keep the third row folded down and make great use of the built-in booster seat. The legroom is fantastic—whether I’m driving up front or riding as a passenger in the back. I also appreciate the flexibility of having a third row when we have guests in town. This is my third XC90, now upgraded to the 2026 model. We also have the T8 plug in hybrid and I love not going for gas. I am able to use the pure mode about 95% of the day.
